NYSERDA Funding Running Low!

8/26/2021: NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) funding for electric vehicle charging stations is starting to run low! The project that kicked off just over a year ago is now under 4 million dollars. There is speculation that the fund will be reimbursed but no announcements have been made to date.

What started as a 17 million dollar fund now sits just under 4 million. Though there is still time to get your applications in and approved. NYSERDA’s program will grant users $4,000 per plug installed. Meaning one dual port level two station will qualify for $8,000.

It is encouraged to process sooner than later. The NYSERDA Charge Ready program will allow you to file for pre-approval on projects if you can provide a permit for construction as well as a handful of other site related documents. Pre-approval will grant your amount and subtract from the total funding located on the link below. Once the project is complete, you will submit final documents showing such. At that point, NYSERDA will issue your payment. The tracker calculates pre-approval grants and subtracts them from the total, so you know the number on the tracker is accurate.

Plugin Stations Online (PISO) has plenty of experience helping customers through the NYSERDA Charge Ready application process. We are here to help though, the NYSERDA program will not let PISO complete the application for our customers. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach to see how we can help you today!
