PlSO Welcomes Three Former Tesla Employees to Strengthen EV Infrastructure Expansion

Following Elon Musk’s decision to lay off nearly the entire 500-person supercharger team at Tesla, PISO seized the opportunity to hire some of the industry’s top talent. Recognizing the exceptional capabilities of these individuals, PISO is excited to announce the addition of Lisa Appelbaum, Benny Tortorici, and Connor Lyons to its team. Their extensive experience and expertise in electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure development will significantly enhance PISO’s capacity to advance EV charging solutions along the Eastern Seaboard and beyond.

Lisa Appelbaum joins PISO as the Commercial Leader, bringing over three years of experience as a Commercial Project Developer at Tesla. During her tenure, she was instrumental in developing more than 120 DC fast ports across 12 locations in New York State. Lisa will now lead PISO’s efforts in expanding fast charging sites throughout the Northeastern United States.

Benny Tortorici has been appointed as a Technical Engineer at PISO. Despite working with Tesla for just one year, Benny boasts a robust engineering background with notable firms like National Grid and the New York Power Authority. His expertise will be crucial as he collaborates with teams nationwide to broaden the EV charging network.

Connor Lyons transitions from Tesla’s Midwestern division to PISO, where he will leverage his experience in the development of EV infrastructure and Tesla Power Wall systems. Before Tesla, Connor worked in the solar industry, developing sites and enhancing project readiness and overall management. His diverse skill set will benefit PISO’s project management and operational efficiency initiatives.
