Accounting Clerk (Staff Accountant in Training)

PlugIn Stations Online (PISO) in an industry leader in the sale, service, and installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. PISO is looking for an operations-driven, financially focused individual with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude to join our Financial Operations team as an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk is an integral part of our Financial Operations team.  The Accounting Clerk will report to the VP of Finance. 

Responsibilities

• Posting Accounts Payable Invoices
• Posting Corporate Credit Card charges and ensuring all receipts are accounted for
• Posting payments for manual checks written and automatic debits from bank account
• Creating Accounts Receivable Invoices
• Accounts Receivable Collections
• Balance Sheet account reconciliations (Prepaid Expenses etc)
• Full cycle bookkeeping through Financial Statements for 2 smaller entities
• Bank Reconciliations for 2 smaller entities
• Processing Weekly Payroll
• Other accounting/clerical duties as may be required
• Attend required weekly meetings

Required Traits

• A minimum of 1 year general bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Detail oriented self-starter
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Desired Traits

• Associates Degree in Accounting
• Construction Industry experience (Progress billing, prevailing wage/certified payroll)
• Sage Intacct for Construction
• QuickBooks Online
• Paychex Payroll
• Broad knowledge of wage and hour law and Human Resource processes
• Payroll processing with per diems and reimbursements
• 3 years general bookkeeping/accounting experience
