Project Accountant

PlugIn Stations Online (PISO) in an industry leader in the sale, service, and installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. PISO is looking for an operations-driven, financially focused, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude to join our Financial Operations team as a Project Accountant. The Project Accountant is an integral part of our Financial Operations team and works closely with our Sales and Project Management Teams to ensure accurate accounting, compliance with industry standards, and timely billing and reporting.  This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects within a fast-paced environment, utilizing your strong accounting background and attention to detail to deliver excellence.  The Project Accountant will report to the VP of Finance.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage project data and documentation in Intacct and Drive
• Post project related Accounts Payable Invoices; ensure alignment with the project budget
• Progress billing, AIA, milestone etc.
• Maintain Project Closeout/Finance spreadsheets 
• Run the Project Closeout/Finance meetings
• Assist Sales and Project Management Team with project related finance matters
• Attend required weekly meetings
• Bank Reconciliations 
• Journal Entries (weekly payroll, adjustments)
• Other project accounting/general accounting duties as may be required

Required Traits

• A minimum of 3 years of general bookkeeping/accounting experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Accountant
• Detail oriented self-starter
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong understanding of Work in Process accounting and revenue recognition

Desired Traits

• Associate’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Accountant (Progress billing, prevailing wage/certified payroll)
• Sage Intacct for Construction
• ProCore
