Meet Connor Lyons, PISO’s Commercial Operations Leader. With a background in EV charging and renewable energy, Connor brings valuable industry experience and a passion for advancing charging technology.

A Background in EV Innovation

Connor’s journey into the EV charging industry began at Tesla, where he started in the residential solar department before transitioning into supercharging. “I designed all of the supercharging sites,” he shares. This hands-on experience deepened his understanding of EV infrastructure and fueled his enthusiasm for the industry’s rapid evolution.

“My favorite thing about the EV charging industry is just how new it is and how much technology has advanced,” Connor says. “When EVs first came out, there was no range, and now they can get up to 400 miles.” The thing that amazes Connor the most is the improvements in charge time, “Now, we can charge in as little as 20 minutes when 10 years ago it took hours.”

Making a Big Impact

What stands out most to Connor about PISO is the company’s ability to accomplish big things while maintaining a tight-knit, family-oriented culture. “PISO is a small company with a large impact. We’re able to achieve a lot of what huge companies can while still bringing that small-business feel,” he says.

As the EV industry continues to expand, Connor is confident that PISO will keep leading the way. “EV is only going to get bigger. With federal and state incentives, they’re heavily pushing EV cars, which is going to create more demand for chargers. Connor believes PISO will stay on top of the game, continue developing sites, pushing EV boundaries.

Life Outside of EV Charging

When he’s not working on EV infrastructure, Connor is happiest outdoors. From hiking, hunting, and fishing to water sports and anything with an engine, nature is what makes Connor happy.
