Meet Dean McMahon, PISO’s Commercial Leader for New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts. Over the past year, Dean has been instrumental in driving new opportunities and navigating the logistics of EV infrastructure projects across the region.

Building Connections and Charging Solutions

Dean’s day-to-day involves team coordination, outreach to potential customers, and collaboration with utility companies. From connecting with hotels, airports, or large multi-use facilities, he’s focused on identifying locations where EV charging can make the biggest impact.

“Much of my role involves reaching out to potential customers and coordinating projects. It’s exciting to be part of something growing so fast,” Dean shares.

From Novice to Expert in EV Logistics

Dean joined PISO without a background in EV, but he’s embraced the steep learning curve. “I’ve learned so much, from understanding basic electrical concepts to the intricacies of EV hardware and power supply logistics,” he says.

One of Dean’s favorite aspects of the job is figuring out the logistics of power supply—how to bring energy from its source to the property and then to the EV chargers themselves. “It’s more complex than I originally anticipated, but I’ve enjoyed learning it all.”

Recent Projects: Innovation in Action

Dean recently worked on a project at 150 Broadway in Menands, NY, which features a mix of Level 2 and DCFC charging stations. “This project was more complex than others I’ve done, requiring a higher level of expertise and creativity,” he explains.

Life Outside of PISO

Dean enjoys life in Saratoga, NY when he’s not working on innovative EV solutions. A self-described track enthusiast, he loves spending time at the races and unwinding with friends.
