PISO Staff Spotlight: Gus Kushnir, Commercial Leader for the Southeast

Meet Gus Kushnir, PISO’s Commercial Leader for the Southeast. Gus has been with PISO for five years, growing with the company since college. As the Commercial Leader for this region, Gus manages a vast territory spanning from North Carolina to Key West, Florida, and westward to Alabama, making him a key player in EV infrastructure expansion down the east coast and into the southern states.

Intern Turned Commercial Leader

Gus’s career at PISO began during his college years working summers, learning the ropes, and growing his interest in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. After graduation, PISO President John Doran offered him the opportunity to join the team full-time. Gus has seen firsthand how quickly the industry evolves and learned firsthand how to keep up and use the industry innovations to PISO’s advantage.

The Excitement of a Fast-Paced Industry

The rapid pace of innovation is one of Gus’s favorite aspects of working in the EV industry. “There’s always something new—whether it’s technology, software, or hardware, it feels like something new comes out every week,” he shares. This fast-paced environment keeps Gus on his toes, constantly learning and adapting to ensure PISO stays ahead of the curve.

Traveling the Southeast to Make a Difference

As the Commercial Leader for the Southeast, Gus spends much of his time on the road, traveling anywhere from 400 to 500 miles a week. He ensures that PISO consistently delivers seamless, high-quality installations for every client. “We’re out there [on site] at a moment’s notice when someone has a project they want to work on, and we make it happen for them,” Gus explains. It’s all about completing projects efficiently and to the highest standard. PISO is here to help businesses bring EV charging to their locations as quickly and easily as possible.

A Team-Oriented Approach

Gus credits much of his success to the supportive and collaborative team at PISO. “Everybody here has your back, from project management to leadership,” Gus says. “We really are a big team, and we take pride in helping others and making everybody’s dreams come true.” This culture of teamwork is central to PISO’s growth and the success of our projects across the country.

Looking Ahead: Continued Expansion

Gus is confident about PISO’s future and sees the company expanding nationwide in the coming years. “In the next five to ten years, I believe PISO will be in all 50 states,” Gus shares. “I would love to see PISO employees in every single state. We want to get EV chargers to as many people as we can. We want to provide access to everybody.”
